Custom Orders: Commission Your Dream Piece with Mayze

Furniture should respond to the space it lives in. The proportions of a room, the materials surrounding it, and the way a piece will be used are different in every home. That is why, when it comes to furniture, one size does not always fit all.
At Mayze Interiors, custom orders allow clients to move beyond standard specifications and create pieces tailored to their individual spaces, needs, and vision. From adjusting the dimensions of an existing design to selecting a particular natural stone, the process is collaborative from the beginning — giving clients greater control over how their piece takes shape.
Designed Around Your Space

A piece of furniture can be beautiful on its own, but it also needs to work within the room.
Perhaps a dining table needs additional length to accommodate a larger family. A coffee table may need to be scaled down for a more compact living room. Or a familiar Mayze design might feel more at home in a different stone or finish.
Mayze custom orders can accommodate adjustments to sizing, materials, stone selection, finishes, edge profiles, and other design details, depending on the piece and material availability. Rather than asking a space to adapt to the furniture, customization allows the furniture to be considered in relation to the space.
This made-to-measure approach also gives clients the opportunity to preserve what they love about a Mayze design while refining the details that make it work specifically for their interior.
Choosing the Stone That Becomes Yours

Natural stone makes customization particularly personal.
No two slabs of marble or travertine are exactly alike. Veining, tonal variation, mineral markings, pores, and movement develop naturally within the material, meaning the slab selected for a piece plays an important role in its final appearance.
As part of the custom-order process, clients are able to review and approve their slab before production begins. This provides an opportunity to see the stone that will become part of their furniture and consider its individual movement and character before it is cut and fabricated.
Rather than simply selecting a stone type from a list, the process makes the material itself part of the design decision.
See the Design Before It Is Made
When dimensions, materials, and details are being customized, being able to visualize the finished piece can make the decision-making process much easier.
Custom mock-ups are available for $50 USD per mock-up, allowing clients to review their design before it moves forward. The mock-up helps communicate proportions and specifications while creating an additional point of review between the initial idea and production.
Once the design details and selected materials have been approved, the piece can move into fabrication.

From an Idea to a One-of-a-Kind Piece
The custom-order process begins with understanding what the client needs from the piece.
Clients can start by completing Mayze's Custom Quotations Form, sharing information such as the piece they are interested in, desired dimensions, preferred material or stone, and any additional customization requests.
For clients who would prefer to discuss their project directly, Mayze also offers 1 hour Custom Order Consultation. During the consultation, clients can discuss dimensions, finishes and materials, review samples and stone options, receive a tailored quote and timeline estimate, and ask questions before moving forward with their order.
From there, the details are refined, materials are reviewed and approved, and the design is prepared for production.
Made for Your Home, Not Just Any Home
Custom furniture is ultimately about creating something with a specific place and purpose in mind.
A change in dimensions can improve how people move around a room. A different stone can connect a table to the existing material palette. An edge profile can subtly change the character of a design. Even small adjustments can influence how naturally a piece belongs within its surroundings.
At Mayze Interiors, customization makes those decisions part of the process. The result is not simply another version of an existing piece, but furniture considered around the person commissioning it and the space it will occupy.
Because the most successful pieces do more than fit into a room. They feel as though they were always meant to be there.
