SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY
Last Updated: October 1, 2026
At Mayze Interiors, our responsibility extends beyond creating your furniture. We carefully coordinate its packaging, international transportation, customs clearance and final delivery so that each piece arrives as safely and smoothly as possible.
Because our furniture is handcrafted from natural stone, wood and other substantial materials, shipping requires specialized handling. Please review this policy before placing your order and before accepting delivery.
NO IMPORT DUTIES, TAXES OR CUSTOMS FEES
Clients are not required to pay additional import duties, import taxes, customs brokerage fees or standard customs-clearance charges when receiving an order shipped through Mayze Interiors.
These costs are incorporated into Mayze’s shipping arrangements and are handled before final delivery. Our clients should not receive an unexpected import bill when their furniture arrives.
This coverage does not include:
-
Local sales tax charged on the original purchase, where applicable
-
Building, elevator or loading-dock fees
-
Certificates of Insurance requested by a building
-
Storage, redelivery or waiting-time charges caused by client unavailability or undisclosed delivery restrictions
-
White-glove delivery, assembly or installation unless separately purchased
-
Additional services requested after the original shipping quotation
-
Although Mayze coordinates and pays for standard customs clearance, customs authorities operate independently. Customs examinations, port congestion, government processing and other border-related delays remain outside our direct control.
SHIPPING PRICES
All standard shipping orders are shipped via sea freight, with an estimated delivery time of 3–4 weeks.
Standard Shipping: Shipping costs are calculated based on each individual item and destination. Please contact our team at care@mayzeinteriors.com for a custom quote.
Expedited Shipping: Expedited shipping is available with an estimated delivery time of approximately 2 weeks. Please contact our team at care@mayzeinteriors.com for expedited shipping options and pricing.
White Glove Delivery: Our white glove delivery service is available at an additional cost. To request white glove service, please complete our White Glove Delivery Intake Form.
The final shipping amount will be confirmed before the order is placed. Size, weight, destination, accessibility and the number of items may affect the final quotation.
For bulk orders, commercial projects, remote destinations or overweight pieces, please contact Mayze Interiors for a custom shipping quotation before completing your purchase.
CUSTOM WOODEN SHIPPING CRATES
Standard sea-freight pricing includes a custom protective wooden crate.
Every crate is built according to the measurements and profile of the furniture being shipped. The crate, internal bracing and protective packing materials form a meaningful part of the shipping cost and are designed to reduce movement and protect the furniture throughout international handling.
Depending on the design, the tabletop, base or other components may be packed separately inside the same crate or in multiple coordinated crates.
Crates can be large, extremely heavy and difficult to move without appropriate equipment. Standard freight delivery does not include unpacking, interior placement, assembly or removal of the wooden crate unless white-glove delivery has been purchased separately.
STANDARD SEA FREIGHT
Our standard shipping method is sea freight.
Sea-freight transit ordinarily takes approximately 18–25 days after the completed order has been packed, released from production and accepted by the freight carrier.
Most sea-freight shipments arrive within a maximum target period of approximately 30 days. This is a transit estimate and does not include the furniture’s production period.
Transit time may occasionally be affected by:
-
Port congestion
-
Customs examinations or processing
-
Vessel scheduling
-
Severe weather
-
Labour disruptions
-
Carrier rerouting
-
Regional delivery capacity
-
Government or border requirements
-
Other circumstances outside of Mayze Interiors’ reasonable control
Mayze will communicate material updates when they become available. However, estimated transportation dates are not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly confirmed as guaranteed in writing.
SEA-FREIGHT TRACKING
Public, real-time tracking links are generally not available during the sea-freight portion of the journey.
Ocean freight is monitored through carrier updates, port milestones and information provided by our international logistics partners. This differs from parcel delivery, where a package receives frequent individual scans.
Clients may contact our Dispatch team at dispatch@mazesfurniture.com for the latest known location and status of their shipment at any point during transportation. Dispatch inquiries are answered within 24 hours.
Once the order reaches its destination country and transfers to the local delivery network, additional scheduling or local tracking information may become available.
CUSTOMS CLEARANCE AND PORT ARRIVAL
When the shipment reaches its destination port, it must complete customs clearance before final delivery can be arranged.
Mayze and its logistics partners coordinate the standard customs-clearance process and any import duties or brokerage charges included in the shipping arrangement. Customs processing commonly requires additional time after the shipment reaches port, and the exact timeline is controlled by the relevant authorities.
Once clearance is complete and the order is released to the local delivery network, our Dispatch team will contact the client to:
-
Confirm the delivery address and contact details
-
Review the signed Delivery Information Form
-
Confirm any access restrictions
-
Discuss available delivery dates
-
Confirm whether standard or white-glove delivery was selected
-
Review any building, elevator, loading-dock or COI requirements
-
Provide the applicable delivery window when available
STANDARD FINAL DELIVERY
Unless white-glove service is stated separately on the client’s invoice, the order will be delivered using standard freight service.
Standard delivery generally includes transportation of the crated order to the accessible delivery point confirmed by the carrier. Depending on the property and local carrier, this may be curbside, driveway, loading dock, garage or another safe and accessible ground-level location.
Standard freight delivery does not ordinarily include:
-
Carrying the furniture into the residence or commercial space
-
Carrying items up or down stairs
-
Elevator transportation
-
Unpacking or opening the crate
-
Assembly or installation
-
Placement inside the room
-
Removal or disposal of the crate and packaging
The delivery truck may arrive at any point within the scheduled carrier window. A precise arrival time is not always available. Clients should arrange for an authorized adult to remain available for the majority of the scheduled delivery day.
If the client authorizes an unattended delivery, this must be approved in writing in advance. The client accepts responsibility for the order once the carrier confirms that it has been delivered to the authorized location.
WHITE-GLOVE DELIVERY
White-glove delivery is an optional service offered separately from standard freight shipping.
We strongly recommend white-glove delivery for natural-stone furniture, oversized tables, residences with stairs, condominiums, commercial projects and any client who does not have professional movers available.
Depending on the location and project requirements, white-glove service may include:
-
A professional delivery crew
-
Receipt or handling of the crated order
-
Carrying the furniture into the property
-
Stair or elevator handling where approved
-
Careful unpacking
-
Assembly of the furniture
-
Placement in the client’s selected room
-
Removal of the shipping crate and packaging
White-glove service is quoted separately because it is performed by a specialized local delivery or installation partner rather than the international freight carrier. Mayze coordinates this service to provide clients with a safer and more convenient delivery experience.
Mayze does not add a profit margin to white-glove coordination where the service is presented as a third-party pass-through service. Pricing depends on the location, item weight, number of crew members, stairs, access conditions, building requirements and scope of work.
WHY FREIGHT AND WHITE-GLOVE SERVICE ARE SEPARATE
The freight carrier and white-glove team are separate companies with separate schedules.
The shipping carrier transports the crated order through the international and regional freight network. The local white-glove team is then responsible for the approved interior handling, unpacking, assembly and placement services.
Because these services are independently scheduled, the freight portion may take place before the white-glove portion can begin. Arrival windows may also shift because of traffic, carrier routing, customs release or the completion of earlier deliveries.
Clients purchasing white-glove service should reserve the entire scheduled delivery day and avoid booking time-sensitive appointments on that day. Mayze will coordinate both services as closely as possible, but we cannot always guarantee an exact arrival time for either provider.
CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE
Certain condominiums, apartment buildings, commercial properties and managed residences require a Certificate of Insurance, commonly called a COI, before delivery personnel may enter the property.
It is the client’s responsibility to:
-
Ask the building whether a COI is required
-
Obtain the building’s exact insurance requirements
-
Provide the required sample COI or written instructions to Mayze
-
Confirm the building management’s legal name and address
-
Reserve any required elevator or loading dock
-
Inform Mayze at least two weeks before the anticipated delivery
COI requests must be submitted at least 14 calendar days before delivery. Late requests may require the delivery to be postponed and could result in storage, rescheduling or redelivery charges.
A COI is not automatically included with standard freight delivery. Availability depends on the selected white-glove provider and the building’s insurance requirements.
CLIENT DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES
Before delivery, the client must complete and sign Mayze’s Delivery Information Form accurately and completely.
The client is responsible for notifying Mayze about all circumstances that could affect delivery, including:
-
Stairs or steps inside or outside the property
-
The total number of steps and flights
-
Narrow hallways, doors or corners
-
Elevator dimensions and weight limits
-
Loading-dock requirements
-
Restricted delivery hours
-
Parking or truck-size restrictions
-
Gated or secured access
-
Construction or road restrictions
-
Required floor or wall protection
-
Building-management procedures
-
COI requirements
-
Required delivery appointments
-
Long carrying distances
-
Uneven paths, gravel or difficult terrain
-
Any requirement for additional crew members or specialized equipment
Clients are responsible for measuring all doors, hallways, stairways, elevators and access points to confirm that the furniture and its components can safely enter the property.
If important access information is omitted or inaccurate, the delivery team may be unable to complete the service. Additional labour, waiting time, equipment, storage, redelivery or rescheduling charges resulting from undisclosed conditions may be charged to the client.
If delivery cannot be completed safely, the carrier or white-glove team may stop the service and request revised arrangements.
PREPARING FOR DELIVERY
Before the scheduled date, clients should:
-
Clear the delivery route and intended placement area
-
Remove fragile objects, artwork, rugs or obstacles
-
Protect flooring where required
-
Secure pets and ensure children remain away from the delivery path
-
Confirm that building staff, elevators and loading areas are available
-
Arrange any required parking permits
-
Ensure an authorized adult is present
-
Have the order number and delivery information available
-
Confirm that all balances and approved delivery charges have been paid
The delivery team is not responsible for moving existing furniture unless that service has been approved and quoted in advance.
SAFE CRATE UNPACKING
A crated stone table should never be moved or unpacked by one person.
If white-glove delivery has not been purchased, clients should arrange for professional movers or an appropriate number of capable adults. Natural-stone components can be extremely heavy and may cause serious injury or product damage if handled improperly.
The following instructions are general. All crate markings and item-specific instructions supplied with the order take priority.
-
Inspect before opening
Examine all sides of the crate before moving or opening it. Photograph the complete crate, shipping labels and any punctures, crushing, moisture or visible impact damage.
Do not discard the crate or packing materials until the furniture has been fully inspected.
-
Prepare a safe working area
Place the crate on a dry, stable and level surface with sufficient room around it. Keep children and pets away from the area.
Do not open the crate on an incline, in active traffic or anywhere the panels could fall onto a person or property.
-
Use suitable protective equipment
Anyone handling the crate or furniture should wear:
• Closed-toe protective footwear
• Work gloves
• Eye protection when removing screws or wooden panels
• Appropriate lifting or moving equipment for the item’s weight
-
Follow the crate orientation
Keep the crate in the orientation marked on the exterior. Do not tip, flip or lay the crate flat unless the markings or item-specific instructions expressly permit it.
Stone tops may be packed vertically for protection and should not be repositioned without sufficient people and appropriate equipment.
-
Remove panels carefully
Use a drill or screwdriver to remove fasteners one panel at a time. Begin with the panel identified for opening.
Use extreme caution with pry bars and tools. Do not drive tools deeply into the crate, as this could puncture or scratch the furniture inside. Do not use a saw or cutting tool where it could contact the product.
Stabilize each wooden panel before removing the final fasteners so that it cannot fall unexpectedly.
-
Remove internal protection gradually
Carefully remove bracing, foam, straps and protective materials while another person stabilizes the furniture.
Do not pull the item out by its edges, stone overhang, upholstery, decorative sections or fragile components.
-
Lift—never drag
Support the furniture from its strongest structural points. Do not drag, roll or pivot a natural-stone top across the floor.
Use furniture dollies, lifting straps and sufficient personnel where appropriate. Keep fingers and feet clear of pinch points.
-
Inspect immediately
After unpacking, inspect every component before assembly or movement into the final room. Photograph any concern before attempting to clean, repair or assemble the item.
If damage is discovered, stop handling the affected component and contact care@mayzeinteriors.com. Retain all packaging while the concern is reviewed.
If you are uncertain about safely opening or moving the crate, do not proceed. Contact Mayze to discuss available professional assistance.
DELIVERY ACCEPTANCE AND DAMAGE
Clients should inspect the exterior of the crate at delivery. If visible damage is present, note it on the carrier’s delivery record before signing whenever reasonably possible.
Signing for delivery confirms receipt of the shipment but does not prevent a client from reporting concealed damage discovered during careful unpacking.
Any delivery or product concern should be reported in accordance with Mayze’s Refunds, Returns & Order Cancellation Policy. Please provide photographs of the complete item, affected area, packaging, crate and shipping label.
Do not discard packaging or arrange an unauthorized repair until Mayze has provided instructions.
EXPEDITED AIR FREIGHT
Expedited air freight is available for clients who require a shorter transportation period.
Estimated air-freight pricing is:
-
Items under 60 inches: approximately $2,350 USD
-
Larger or heavier pieces: approximately $3,000–$4,000 USD
-
Extra-large, overweight or multi-item orders: custom quotation required
-
Air-freight transit ordinarily takes approximately 10–15 business days after production, quality approval, packing and carrier acceptance. Ten business days is the quickest estimated transit period available for eligible orders.
-
Expedited shipping shortens transportation time only. It does not automatically shorten production, design approval or material-sourcing timelines unless expedited production has also been confirmed in writing.
-
Air-freight availability and final pricing depend on:
-
Final packed dimensions and weight
-
Number of crates
-
Departure and destination airports
-
Regional delivery distance
-
Airline capacity
-
Customs requirements
-
Special handling needs
-
Destination accessibility
The air-freight price must be confirmed before shipment. Selecting expedited freight does not eliminate possible customs, weather or carrier delays outside Mayze’s direct control.
BULK, COMMERCIAL AND OVERWEIGHT ORDERS
Bulk orders, hospitality projects, multi-piece installations and exceptionally heavy or oversized furniture require an individual logistics assessment.
The shipping quotation may account for:
-
Multiple custom crates
-
Palletization
-
Container space
-
Specialized lifting equipment
-
Commercial receiving facilities
-
Loading-dock requirements
-
Additional delivery personnel
-
Storage or staged delivery
-
Installation and waste removal
-
Remote or limited-access destinations
Please contact Mayze before placing a bulk or overweight order so that the correct freight and delivery plan can be confirmed in advance.
DELIVERY DELAYS
Mayze will make reasonable efforts to provide accurate shipping estimates and communicate significant updates.
However, port congestion, customs examinations, carrier scheduling, weather, labour disruptions and other events outside Mayze’s reasonable control may affect an estimated arrival date.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any non-waivable delivery, cancellation or refund right provided by applicable consumer-protection law.
